Currently, Hudu's website monitoring tool is designed to track publicly accessible websites. However, for self-hosted Hudu instances, users often need to monitor local websites and domains that are not publicly accessible. This includes internal services such as: RD Gateway servers Internal applications Locally hosted web services Private intranet pages This request is to extend Hudu's monitoring capabilities to support tracking SSL status, domain expiration, and uptime for local/internal websites. Requested Features Support for Local SSL Certificate Monitoring Ability to track SSL expiration dates for local sites. Alert users when certificates are nearing expiration. Domain & DNS Expiry Tracking for Internal Domains Monitor local domain expiration dates for internal DNS-managed domains. Retrieve and display expiration details if available. Local Website Uptime & Status Monitoring Ability to track uptime of internally hosted websites. Customizable health checks for locally hosted services. Custom RDAP & WHOIS Integration for Internal Domains Allow manual entry of domain details for tracking. Support private/internal domain registries if applicable. Use Cases: IT teams managing on-premise or hybrid infrastructure can track internal services. MSPs using self-hosted Hudu can monitor client environments that rely on internal servers. Organizations using private CA-issued SSL certificates can get expiration alerts within Hudu. Potential Implementation Considerations: Allow users to manually add internal sites for monitoring. Support integration with local network monitoring tools. Provide an option for self-hosted instances to track non-public domains. Conclusion: Expanding Hudu’s monitoring to internal/local websites would enhance self-hosted users' ability to track critical infrastructure, ensuring better visibility into SSL expiration, domain tracking, and service uptime. We would love to see this feature implemented in a future update!
