New Field Type for Domain Monitoring with MX Record Alerts

We’d like to request a new custom field type in Hudu specifically assessable via the Asset Layout menu during Asset Layout creation for domain entries, with built-in MX record monitoring and alerting functionality.
This would enable teams to track domain health by automatically monitoring MX records for configured domains, and receive alerts if issues arise. This improves visibility into mail delivery issues and DNS misconfigurations—critical for IT and MSP teams.
Key Features Requested:
- A new field type (e.g., Domain – MX Monitored) that:
- Accepts and validates domain name input
- Periodically checks associated MX records
Triggers alerts for the following:
- Missing or misconfigured MX records
- Changes to existing MX records (optional toggle)
- Unreachable records or high TTL violations
(Optional) Displays MX record health status directly in the asset view
