One of the reasons we chose to self-host Hudu was to monitor internal, non-public-facing websites. When configuring SSL certificate tracking for such a site, it fails to retrieve certificate information. After monitoring network traffic, I confirmed that SSL certificate checks are not originating from the self-hosted instance. Instead they appear to be routed through Hudu's cloud infrastructure. Opening the site to the internet allows the check to succeed, which confirms this.
Feature request: Please add an option for self-hosted instances to perform SSL certificate checks directly from the local server. I understand if DNS, WHOIS, and other checks remain cloud-routed. The SSL certificate check is the critical one for internal sites.
