This seems to be one of the more popular feature requests, but the dev team seems to be completely silent on this. Could someone respond in terms of if we will ever see this feature, why or why not, and when we might see progress on it. Again, this is a feature that seems to have been adopted on almost every other documentation platform I can think of - why is Hudu, one of the best platforms out there still lacking this years later?!

Just to add to the list of other documentation platforms that have this feature, NinjaOne's documentation - an included, light-weight solution - even supports uploaded and accessing/editing Office documents now. Can we please see this added in Hudu. Thanks!

As others have said, ITPortal and ITGlue both have the ability to open and edit word documents within the portal, and also index's the file to be able to do searches. As a document mgmt system, this should be a core feature.

Is this functionality on the roadmap, is it possible to get an update, ETA on this feature?

This is definitely needed. Hudu cannot truly be your one stop shop for documentation if you have to use another system to host these other document types.

We desperately need the ability import word documents. SharePoint still seems to be a better collaboration tool for working on files, and while copying and pasting retains most of the formatting, there is no method for bulk uploads, making this a tedious and time consuming process.
