Great product overall.
In really building out some accurate network documentation, it would be really nice to have:
  • An asset layout for switches that encompasses the number of ports that a switch has, and allows VLANs to be mapped to individual ports. Also specifying whether a port is a trunk, access, or LAG port.
  • An asset layout for Patch Panels that can hook into IPAM.
  • A mechanism for capturing mapping the physical connections of ports on a patch panel to ports on a switch. I'm thinking a table with a dropdown for a Patch Panel, dropdown for patch panel port, dropdown to specify network device attached to patch panel, dropdown for connected port on network device.
We can simulate that now with adding tables to custom switch asset layouts in a Rich Text section, but it'd be nice to have a broader picture of what's attached to what switch port to capture what VLANs a device is on.
