There is no reason any field in Hudu should not have filtering. Every field should support filtering, regardless of field type. This saves technicians an enormous amount of time.

Sorting and filtering should be available for Asset Link fields in the table view.
Currently, when a field references another asset (for example: VM → Hypervisor), the column cannot be sorted and the search box does not filter results based on the linked asset name. In real environments this creates a major usability issue.
Example: an infrastructure with 5 hypervisors and 100+ virtual machines. When planning maintenance or troubleshooting, technicians often need to quickly see all VMs running on a specific hypervisor. Without sorting or filtering on the Hypervisor column, they must manually scan the entire list of machines.
Asset relationships are one of the most powerful parts of Hudu’s data model (VM → Hypervisor, Server → Switch, Device → Rack, etc.). However, without sorting and filtering these relationships become difficult to use in larger environments.
Allowing Asset Link fields to support column sorting and filtering (based on the linked asset name) would dramatically improve usability for MSPs and IT teams managing complex infrastructures.
