Branching Logic for Custom Asset Fields

It would be useful to add branching logic to custom fields for Assets, similar to Microsoft Forms.
For example, selecting a value from a dropdown, checking a box, or choosing a radio button could dynamically display only the relevant follow-up fields while hiding fields that don't apply.
This would make it much easier to build a single asset layout that supports multiple variations within the same asset category without overwhelming technicians with unnecessary fields. It would also improve data consistency, reduce user error, and simplify asset creation and maintenance.
Example:
Asset Type: Server
Physical Server → Show rack location, warranty, iLO/iDRAC fields.
Virtual Server → Show hypervisor, cluster, datastore fields.
Hide the fields that are not relevant to the selected option.
This feature would reduce the need to create multiple nearly identical asset layouts and provide a cleaner, more intuitive experience when documenting assets.

+1 For this feature! Would help to create even better assets

Absolutely huge if this gets implemented. Would help to clean up overly complex asset layouts, especially when using layouts as more generic buckets for different assets.
This would let us consolidate a lot of our layouts. +1

Assets dependencies

It would be cool if you could determine dependencies on assets, e.g. For devices, if a serial number is entered here, it depends on a guarantee date. In other words, you have to enter a warranty date. If the device doesn't have a serial number, you don't have to enter a warranty date.

Dynamic Field Dependencies

It would be great to have the option for field dependencies.
When creating a new field in asset layouts, you have a dropdown with a number of options available. Depending on the option you choose, another field will dynamically become available to enter information into.
For example, the Dropdown name is 'Approved for Users'. The options I have are 'No', 'All Users' and 'User Groups'. If I choose 'User Groups' I get another dropdown menu with user groups or a black text field to type into, or tick box etc.

Asset Layout Changes Based on Item

Would like to have an asset layout change when I select the item type. An example would be, if I have a drop down list of different type of network assets. I select router the asset layout changes to router info. However, if I select network switch the asset layout changes to switch questions.
