Code Snippet Visibility

Currently, the Code Snippet functionality applies a special font to the text and creates a sort of bounding box (similar to URL display text).
What I would really like to see is some special distinction between Code Snippets and regular text, similar to how Teams and Discord present this with their markdown formatting [
code here
].This style is much more pleasant on the eyes, as you immediately know what is to be treated as a part of regular text, and what is code (or something you may need to copy/paste).

Clarification after thinktanking a little bit in the Discord:
When you highlight text and THEN hit the codeblock button, it doesn't convert it to a codeblock, but uses the 'Inline Code' Style from the dropdown.
I essentially want the highlight+select to spit out a single (or heck, even multi) line snippet with styling like what Code Blocks provide when creating a brand new one.
It would probably need some sort of "generic" language selection for defaulting to if syntax highlighting would be a required component of codeblocks/snippets in the proposed form

Sensible Shark I second this behavior for codeblock creation, if I want in-line coding style I select it from the styles dropdown. Also would really like the in-line code styling needs to be much more distinct. Microsoft Learn pages are a good example, code lock plus in-line code styling both very distinct from normal paragraph text
