IT security should follow a least privilege principle. Groups should, by default, be a DENY ALL, until you add the Company or other resource into the group.

This is critical and a much needed addition. We have several co-managed clients and having the ability to allow client staff read and write capabilities to ONLY their company would make things so much easier for us. I don't mind the per-user additional licenses for those users, as we need to be able to share and create documentation and passwords with our co-managed clients.

Will this give us the ability to restrict our internal users from viewing passwords? We want to give others in the organization outside of IT the ability to leverage Hudu's documentation management capabilities, but not view any customer passwords.

Scott Shingleton: similar to this, we want to give our sales team access to a subset of passwords (those attached to vendor records on each customer), but not all passwords - Sales don't need to see domain admin credentials etc.

+1 for this - we have a client asking for the ability to update passwords and add, not just view - we need to be able to say 'people in this group, only have access to these 2x Companies'

Switching permissions to a most restrictive instead of least restrictive :) having both options would be cool enabling both allow/deny groups of clients to users within a group
