Add IPAM as an Asset Link or Related Items

We would like the ability to add Networks, IP Addresses, and VLANs as selectable Related Item objects across Hudu, similar to how other assets, KBs, or passwords can be linked currently. OR provide the ability to link it as an Asset Link within the Asset Template Field options.

Currently, IP addresses can only be related to assets through the IPAM tool. It would be much more efficient to allow users to assign or relate an IP address to an asset directly from the asset view.

The new 2.28 Networks and Racks are great but you can't add/reference them to other Asset Layouts.
E.g. As you can't customise Networks, I'd want to create a VLAN Asset and link this to a Network.

Instead of going into the IPAM tool for any client, it would be very helpful to be able to add an IP address directly from an asset as a related item.
Having the option to choose between global or client scope for these IP addresses would also be beneficial, as well as being able to briefly see which company each IP address belongs to.

Upvote. Love the IPAM feature, but the asset template of the network needs to be more customizable. I want to name a network, not have the network name be a subnet. I also want to be able to tag and office location in the asset as opposed to having to manually set the relationship.

This would be incredibly helpful and time efficient. When you enter an IP address of an asset, it should automatically update the IPAM database as long as the device is not considered "Retired" or something that would indicate it is inactive. Currently we have to enter the IP address in the asset field, then go into IPAM and create another new entry for the same data.

We have a Data Closet asset that lists physical location and room access, and this would be great. I can add it as a reference from the rack, but not vice versa and it doesn't show a relation in the Data Closet asset.
