Organize favorites into different folders or boxes

I'd love to be able to have several boxes on my home/dashboard that I can add different passwords into. i.e. "Domain Admin Credentials" "Backup Admin Credentials". And if we could drag and drop them into different orders, that would be lovely. I like them to be in alphabetical order by customer name, but currently I have to unfavorite and refavorite in alphabetical order if we get a new client.

I am not sure when they created this folder structure, they where not able to add folders within folders?

Since the global passwords won't fit our use case I voted for this feature request: https://hudu.canny.io/feature-requests/p/need-folders-for-passwords

Wait, we've been waiting for this for ages and now all we're getting are GLOBAL folders? Like, what the heck... not all of our clients are the same. I need different folders for different companies.
It can't be that hard?!

Global Password Folders are now in Hudu 2.1.5.13 :)
Are you guys seriously kidding me????
our entire business is based on MSP which services multiple clients from different companies why on earth would I need a global password folder????
I need to be able to have folders for EACH client for these passwords.
Folder for password emails
Folder for active directory passwords
etc.....

Surviving Shrew: On the contrary, as someone who came over from ITGlue after using them for years and literally BEGGED them to add global password folders (with no results), this is IMO the way this should work for an MSP. Try managing permissions for 4500+ clients with client-specific folders...
They have tags anyways if you want to organize per client.

Heather Barnacle: We are currently using IT glue and changing over to Hudu. Currently the way ITG is setup it works fine and if you are looking for something specific and don't want to go through folders I do a global search in ITG. This is more on an organizational stand point. Right now all our passwords are in the Password section of Hudu and its like 50 or more passwords all rammed in one spot.
Tags are not a great option.

Surviving Shrew: I think having both these folders and client-ones would probably be the best option. I also don't use their tags.
But with this, I've only played with it for a few minutes, and I already really love the fact that we can create a group one time, define permissions, and not have to mess with it any more across our client base. Gonna be a huge time-saver.

Heather Barnacle: I do agree both can be useful I do see your point.

Surviving Shrew: I have to completely agree with Peter. I was
really
looking forward to this upgrade. As it stands right now this feature, at least for me, is completely useless. - Global folders are nice I guess, but what I really want the capability to have specific folders per customer. I don't want to have a "Server" folder under a customer if they don't have a server. Maybe global folders are created and then under each organization you could put a checkbox for each folder that should be included?
- No nested folders and or tree structure? I had imagined these password folders would exist on the side pane under passwords and I would be able to expand/colapse folders using a ">" - kind of like how things can be arranged in KeePass, Outlook, or Evernote (see attached images)
- The biggest issue of all - this doesn't pass through to the customer portal. Previously I provided customers an encrypted PDF sheet exported from KeePass. It allowed me to group passwords so the customer could browse quickly to the category they were looking for. Right now, the customer just has 5-6 pages they have to browse through. Even if you made Tags available to the customer portal this would be a huge step forward in the right direction. I had imagined this was the direction you were going to go with folders, but no such luck.

Surviving Shrew: i think the use case should be; go to the asset and find password, not passwords -> find password for asset

Unfortunately, I was premature in my excitement. We have updated our instance and Password folders seem to be Global rather than per client.
It would be great to have per client customisable folders, e.g. having a folder per site.
Is a Tree View possible also?

The Hudu Team: Thanks, Team!
Just so I understand the new Global Folders (I'll be running some test creations soon, when I get a moment to do so):
- We make the global folders from the admin center, and assign permissions to those folders.
- Any folders we create, show up in each customer account if the user accessing the account has access to the folder
- Passwords should not be crossing customer accounts, they'll only show up in the "global folder" for the proper "customer" account we create them under?
So say I create a folder called "Active Directory", and I go to Customer A and create Passwords "1", "2" and "3", then go to Customer B and create Passwords "4", "5", and "6".
If another user goes into Customer B later and has permission to the "Active Directory" folder, they will only see passwords "4", "5" and "6". If they go to Customer A, they will only see "1", "2", and "3"? There will be no cross mingling of passwords between clients?
